What I Packed For A Maui Vacation
I recently went on a summer vacation to Maui. Because I’ve been there so many times over the years, I have a pretty good idea of what to expect. This makes knowing what I need and what to pack very easy. Besides swimming in the ocean or laying out poolside, there are a lot of other activities I plan for.
For my recent trip to Maui, I packed plenty of light, comfortable outfits. Cute enough that I could wear them during the day, or out to dinner. I pack sneakers for hiking or working out, sandals and a pair of heels. For swimming a bring multiple styles of swimsuits. A bikini that is safe for the pool might get pulled off in a large wave. So plenty of options in this area are a good thing. Coverups are also worn daily, to make going from the water to a store or restaurant quick and easy. I always try and make it to the local farmers markets a few times per trip. They can be very warm and humid so i like to wear comfortable shorts and shirts.
Although not everyone will find it necessary I pack a few light weight sweaters. I also wear a small coat on the plane. If you plan on going to the top of Haleakala you will need something warm! The last clothing items on the packing list are plenty of sundresses and big hats!
I try and keep a simple color pallet within my wardrobe. Not just for traveling, but also in my day to day life. With just a few color choices to work with, all my outfits coordinate and become easily interchangeable. Here are some of the favorite item I packed for this most recent Maui Vacation.
