It’s time to say hello to the summer season once again. With the way the last few years have been going, I think that this summer, all the homebodies are ready to show out; I think that at this point in time, pretty much everyone has heard the term “Hot Girl Summer” which was originally coined by Megan The Stallion. From there, it quickly became part of the day-to-day vocabulary for women and men everywhere.

There is no exact definition of what this term means, as it’s fluid and will mean something different to everyone. But it’s the idea is for women to normalize women being their most authentic true selves without the fear of societal shame and judgment. It’s about being carefree, owning your choices, having a good time, and being unapologetically confident in knowing who you are. Hot girl summer is all about living your best life and looking good while doing it. But for yourself, of course. Because when you look good, you feel good!

Tips For A Hot Girl Summer Life

Confidence

Hot girl summer is all about being confident and believing in yourself. Surrounding yourself with people that bring out the best in you and doing the things that make you happy. Wearing sexy outfits if that’s what you want, and taking care of yourself so you feel your best. Confidence is a mindset, and for some, it can take a while to develop a strong sense of self-confidence. But it’s incredible how much better simply holding your chin high and keeping your shoulders back can make you feel.

Hot Girl Summer essentials

Water Water Water

You want to be feeling your best this summer and really the rest of the year too. The amount of water we need definitely increases in the summertime. Even if you’re not sweating, the heat will sap the water right out of you. be sure you’re drinking lots of water to help reduce hangovers and keep your body functioning properly and your skin hydrated and glowing.

Soft Smooth Skin

With the summer season comes warmer weather and a summer wardrobe that shows off a lot more skin, You can prep your skin for these warmer days by exfoliating regularly. You’ll remove dry scaly skin, and help reduce ingrown hairs. Your skin will also be able to absorb moisturizers and products more effectively. And you’ll have soft glowing touchable skin.

Summer Ready Feet

The summer season is also sandal season. And there’s no reason to be caught walking around with dry, cracked heels. Start now, and you can have cute toes and callus-free heels to show off your cute strappy summer sandals. For feet you won’t want to hide, read the 5 Steps To Summer Ready Feet.

A Swimsuit You Feel Confident In

There’s nothing worse than tugging and pulling at a bathing suit that doesn’t fit right and that you feel uncomfortable in. But with so many swim brands out there, there’s a suit out there for everybody. It can take time and patience, though, to find the perfect suit. That’s why I always buy my suits from L*Space and Vitamin A Swim. I know the quality is good; the suits have lasted me for years, and their styles, cuts, and sizes work for my body. Whether you like itty bitty bikinis or prefer more coverage, what makes a swimsuit sexy is the confidence you show while wearing it.

A Hat That Gives Main Character Vibes

Why? Because hot girls don’t damage their skin in the sun. You don’t want the summer to be over and have to be worrying about correcting skin damage. So be as proactive as you can in minimizing and avoiding sun damage. Sunscreen is, of course, a must, but adding a hat is even better. From bucket hats to big floppy brims, find one with a character that fits your style. That way you’ll want to wear it all the time.

A Good Read or Awesome Audio Book

What’s hotter than a woman that’s always working on themselves and learning something new? Having a good audio or paperback book you enjoy will allow you to expand your mind while relaxing at the beach or pool. If reading and studying is your thing, then doing more of that is your definition of Hot Girl Summer!

The most important $27 I ever spent taught me why I overspend.

You buy something you didn’t really need. You feel amazing for about an hour. Then the good feeling quietly turns into guilt… and the little speech starts: why did I do that?

This week’s episode of the Purfect Sunday Podcast is about the emotional side of money — not budgeting or spreadsheets, the feelings underneath what and why we buy. 💛

Here’s what I learned the hard way:
→ Most spending was never about the thing. It’s about a feeling we’re trying to change — stress, sadness, boredom, loneliness, feeling invisible.

→ Breaking the cycle isn’t about white-knuckling your way through life never buying anything nice. It’s naming the emotion driving the need to shop, and putting time between the urge and the buy.

This week’s challenge: next time you feel the urge to buy something you weren’t planning on, pause before you check out and ask one question — what am I feeling right now?

  • Your life can look completely different 6 months from now if you get strict with yourself and lock-in 🔒
  • We officially have 6 months left in 2026 — and no, you are not behind.

Six months is enough time to lock in. To become the girl who drinks the water, reads the books, moves her body, takes care of her hair, skin and nails, and actually dresses like she’s the main character. Six months is enough time to glow up in any area of your life you’ve been putting off.

And here’s your reminder: money spent on your health, learning, and feeling your best — is never wasted. That’s not splurging. That’s investing in the woman you’re becoming.
Half the year is still yours. Let’s not waste it. 🤍
