Some people may just be starting their health journey, Others may be well on their way. No matter where you are in life, I think we all appreciate finding new ways to save time and make things a little easier. So I wanted to share a couple of quick and easy health hacks that I use to simplify life and keep me on track and with less thought and effort.
6 Quick and Easy Health Hacks To Simplify Life
Water Bottle With Time Markers
A large water bottle with time markers is an easy way to stay motivated and on track with your daily water intake. You can easily do this yourself with a sharpie and a clear water bottle. Or make life a little easier and buy this one here, which is the exact one I use every day.
In fact first thing in the morning I fill this bottle up, and throughout the day I either drink from it or pour it into another glass. But I always know exactly how much I need to drink by the end of the day.
Lemon Cubes
Some people are die-hard fans of drinking lemon water. first thing every morning. I can’t claim to drink it daily as soon as I wake up, but I do enjoy fresh lemon or lime in my water. Especially in sparkling water. I think that healthy additions, that help to reach your daily water goals are a win. That’s why this hack is so useful.
Squeeze a couple of lemons and pour the freshly squeezed juice into an ice tray and freeze. Whenever you pour yourself a glass of water drop an ice cube or two into your cup and for instant lemon water.
Save Wilting Herbs
If you enjoy cooking from scratch, then you most likely have come across this problem frequently. It can be hard to use up entire bunches of herbs before they start to wilt. before that happens again try this trick.
Remove the herbs from their stems and then mince. Pour olive oil into an ice cube tray and then sprinkle the minced herbs into each section. Place them in the freezer, and the next time you’re cooking, you can pop an herb cube into your pot for fresh flavor.
Workout While Watching Your Show
We all have days where all we want to do is sit on the couch and watch tv. But instead of feeling guilty about it, make the most of it and get a workout in at the same time. During commercial breaks, or in between shows, you can get in a set of squats, pushups, or situps. I like to keep my resistance bands out so I don’t forget or have an excuse not to use them.
Obviously, this isn’t as effective as going to the gym or getting outside to exercise. But it defiantly still counts!
Pre Chop Fruits And Veggies
Spend some time washing and cutting up fruits and veggies and save yourself some time later on. Keeping fruits and veggies already cleaned and ready to eat, will make it easier to grab a healthy snack,
Set Out Your Vitamins
First thing in the morning sort out all our vitamins for the day. This is an easy way to make sure you don’t forget to take them. You can even put some in a pill box and take them with you to work or wherever else your day takes you.
