Favorite Outfits Of The Week | January 21
I’ve been thinking as a regular new post topic I’ll share some of the things I’ve really been loving the last week. This will include outfits, makeup, beauty products, home decor products, and items around the kitchen. Hope you guys enjoy and find some new items to love.
Favorite Outfits Of The Week | January 21
I figured I’d start out with my favorite outfits of the week. I don’t know if I was in a depressive funk for the last very long time, or just lazy. Either way, I have come to the decision that I need to put more effort into getting dressed. And there are mainly two reasons for this. The first is, I bought the clothes in the first place because I love them, so I really should be making the most of my wardrobe. And the second reason is that I really do feel better about myself when I feel pulled together.
Black Puffer Coat
Whether it’s raining out, or just cold, these black recycled rubber boots from Ganni are currently my favorites. Black is my favorite color to wear, and I think I’m truly happiest in an all-black outfit. I like to pair these boots with leggings because they look good and because of how comfortable they are. Alo and Lululemon are my favorite brands to wear both in the gym and for regular outfits. If it’s not too cold out I’ll just wear a baggy sweater. But if the temp drops, I’ll throw on a puffer jacket. Mine is from Canada Goose but keeps selling out so I linked some similar ones below.
Sweater Dress
This Is my favorite sweater dress, so much so that I have it in three colors. During the day I like to wear them with sneakers. Dressy up top and casual down below. It’s the best of both worlds. The size of the purse I use will depend on what I’m going out to do, and if I’m solo or with kids. Obviously, the more kids that are with me, the bigger the purse needs to be. This dress is easily dressed up by adding heels and accessories and makes for a sexy but comfortable option for a night out.
By the way, these Spanx high-waisted mid-thigh shorts are the most comfortable shapewear I’ve ever worn. I always wear them under my dresses to smooth everything out and avoid visible panty lines. They’re supportive but lightweight enough that I usually forget that I’m wearing them.
Corset Top And Jeans
These are a new pair of jeans I just bought and am absolutely in love with them. I think wide-leg jeans are so much more flattering than mom jeans will ever be. During the day I wear them with sneakers, so it’s easy to walk around and run lots of errands. But in the evening I like to pair them with heels to dress them up a bit. Plus doing this will make your legs seriously long! The last thing I really l really appreciate about these jeans is the high waist.
Any woman with a long torso knows the struggle of finding a pair of jeans that actually fit “high waisted”. These don’t actually sit at my waist, I wish they did, but I’ve never found a pair of pants that actually do that. With my long-ass torso, I’m happy when jeans at least go to my belly button. Which these do.
As for the top, I have a couple of corsets, by Danielle Guizio. I think the pieces are beautiful and very well made. You, definitely feel sexy wearing them, whether you’re wearing them with jeans, or sweats. The side lace-up detail makes it easily adjustable as well.
