2021 Fall Bucket List
Fall is without a doubt my favorite season. I love waking up to the cool, crisp morning air, the changing of the leaves, and the feeling of hunkering down for the cold months ahead.
Autumn is also the time of year where people seem to enjoy spending more time together. Whether you prefer to spend your time inside with friends or gatherings outdoor full of fun activities, there is so much to do and something for everyone to enjoy.
To welcome in the new season, I’ve put together this fall bucket list to help make the most of what the season has to offer. Whether you prefer indoor or outdoor activities, one or two of these fall bucket list ideas should be right for you.
2021 Fall Bucket List
Update Your Home For Cozy Vibes
In the same way that your wardrobe changes with the seasons, your home should too. Fall decor is warm and cozy with lots of earthy tones. So switch out your cool summer linens for warmer sheets and add a fluffy down comforter and some cozy throws to your bed. Add fall-inspired dried floral arrangements to vases around the house and don’t forget the candles. Lots of candles.
Take Your Workouts Outside
Running, hiking, yoga, or whatever your preferred workout choice might be, Fall is the perfect time of year to enjoy some outdoor workouts. The cooler days mean perfect weather and there are usually fewer people outside. Try and exercise outside at least once a week to take advantage of the season’s beautiful views and fresh crisp air.
Have A Fall Movie Marathon
Whether it’s with your partner or group of friends, there’s no better time of year to cuddle up for a movie marathon. Make some hot chocolate or mulled wine, grab some snacks, and get comfortable. You can get in the Halloween spirit with your favorite scary movies or watch some classics like When Harry Met Sally.
Cook With Seasonal Produce
Get creative trying out new recipes using fall seasonal produce. Most people think of pumpkins when asked about what vegetables come into season in the Fall. But really there’s so much more than that. If you were to take a walk through your local farmer’s market, you’d see the stands filled with this season’s fresh produce. Apples, green beans, beets, chard, sweet potatoes, and figs are all wonderful ingredients to incorporate into your cooking. Try playing around with spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and sage for added fall flavors.
Try A New Fall Drink
This year save your money and skip the Starbucks pumpkin spice flavored drinks for a homemade seasonal drink instead. If you’re not about to give up your pumpkin spice just yet, this Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte will hit the spot and impress your friends. Or you can pick up some mulling spices from the store and make some hot apple cider to enjoy on a cool evening.
Cozy Up Your Wardrobe
A cozy sweater is the one thing you’ll want to live in for the next few months whether you are spending time inside or outdoors. While there are tons of cute, cheap sweaters to be found, this is a wardrobe piece that’s worth investing in. A high-quality cashmere sweater in a neutral color and classic shape will last you for years to come. But for at least the next few months you’ll want to live in it!
Switch Up Your Beauty Routine
Makeup and beauty routines need to change with the seasons. Now’s that the days are colder and shorter you’re probably spending less time in the sun. Now is a good time to correct any sun damage done during the summer months. Adding in a serum to your beauty routine that addresses hyperpigmentation can help fade sun spots and freckles. Hair naturally gets darker in the winter, so you can add some lowlights to your hair for the colder months of the year. It’s also good to increase deep hair conditioning treatments and incorporate a heavier facial cream. into your routine. Doing so can help prevent your hair and skin from drying out in the cold wind and dry indoor air. Makeup trends go darker this time of year with darker shades of lipstick and brown and gold eyeshadows that reflect nature.
Set A Mood With Fall Scented Candles
There’s no easier way to set the mood for the season than by lighting candles that smell like fall. Look for candles with scents of vanilla, fig, sandalwood, and leather. Whatever your preferences may be, stock up on your favorite fall candles because you”ll want to be burning them non-stop.
Host A Fall Picnic
In my opinion, Fall picnics are even better than Summer ones. Layer up in your new cozy sweater, and bring along a few extra throw blankets in case the weather cools down. Pack your picnic basket with seasonal foods and hot drinks and enjoy watching the Autumn colored leaves slowly fall from the trees.
Go Apple Picking
Fall marks the beginning of apple picking season. It’s not only a way to spend a fun day outdoors with your friends or family, but it can also make a fun fall date. Not to mention it’s always nice to support your local farmers. If you’re into fall crafts or home baking, click here for The Best Vegan Fall Desserts. You can use those freshly picked apples to make some delicious homemade treats.
Pick The Perfect Pumpkin
Spending time enjoying all that your local pumpkin patches have to offer is a fun way to spend a fall day. Most have petting zoos, hayrides, and other fun activities that the whole family can enjoy. And of course, you can pick out the perfect pumpkins for carving and decorating. While you carve up your pumpkins be sure to roast pumpkin seeds for a healthy delicious snack!
I hope that there are a few things on this list that you can take inspiration from. Even more, I hope that you go out and make the absolute most of this beautiful season. Even though it’s my fall bucket list, I have every intention of checking every item off of this list. Is there anything that you feel needs to be added to this list? If so let me know in the comments below. I always enjoy hearing from you!
