Whatever your level of skill there may be a beauty hack or two down below that you can add to your own arsenal!
Awesome Beauty Hacks
White Polish Base
Skip the clear base coat and opt for a white base coat instead. Any nail polish color you paint on top will pop and look more vibrant.
Heat Your Eyelash Curler
Heating your eyelash curler works the same way that a curling iron helps your hair hold a curl. Use your blow dryer to blast your lash curler with hot hair for a few seconds. Wait until it cools a little but is still warm so you won’t burn your eyelid. Clampdown on your lashes to curl them and follow with your mascara.
Cold tea bags
Quickly de-puff and tighten under-eye skin by applying cold green tea bags to the area for 5-6 minutes. The caffeine in the tea will instantly help increase circulation and brighten the eye area. Simply steep two tea bags and then leave them in the refrigerator to cool until you’re ready to use.
Blotting Paper
Toilet seat covers are made out of similar material as blotting papers and work just as good at blotting away excess oil and shine.
Curl Your Hair With A Flat Iron
You can easily curl your hair with a flat iron. Take a small 1-2 inch section and begin pulling it through the straightener as usual. When you’re about halfway down the length of hair, flip the iron in the opposite direction by twisting your wrist. Continue to pull the hair through to the ends. The end result is looser bendy waves instead of barrel curls.
Dryer Sheet Hair Trick
Struggling with static hair? Don’t weigh it down with heavy products in the hopes of bringing it under control. Instead, run a dryer sheet through your locks to instantly tame flyaways.
Makeup Remover
If you find yourself out of makeup remover, use coconut oil to help melt away sunscreen and stubborn eye makeup. Massage it onto your face or add some to a cotton pad to dissolve and wipe away even waterproof mascara. Follow that up by washing away any oil residue with your preferred face soap and warm water.
Lipstick For Blush
If you need to touch up your makeup but don’t have your blush with you, use your lipstick as your blush instead. Just dab your lip color on your cheeks and blend it in like you would any cream blush.
Set Your Lipstick
Here’s a super easy trick to keeping your lipstick in place all day. After applying your lipstick, press one-ply tissue over your lips and dust over it with some translucent powder. The powder will seep through the tissue and set your lipstick so it lasts all day.
Coconut Hair Mask
Anytime your hair is feeling dry and in need of some extra care, head to the kitchen for super easy treatment. Coat your hair in coconut oil and let it soak in for at least 15-20 minutes before washing it out with your normal shampoo. Click here for other natural hair masks.
Dry Your Nails Faster
Cut down on nail drying time by soaking your freshly painted nails in ice. Before painting your nails, fill up a bowl with cold water and add a few ice cubes. After your nails are painted submerge your fingers in the water for 2-3 minutes or as long as you can bear.
Save Shattered Makeup
There’s nothing worse than a shattered highlighter, blush, or powder compact. Luckily there’s an easy fix for that. Add a small amount of rubbing alcohol to the makeup and mix it into a smooth paste. Smooth it down with a spoon or small spatula and let it sit overnight. By morning your powder will be good as new!
Softer feet overnight
If your feet are starting to feel dry or even cracked try this. Right before bed, slather on some Aquafor and then slip on some socks to sleep in through the night. In the morning your feet will be feeling baby soft. You can also follow these 5 steps to keep your feet looking their best all year!
